The MM Ski Race Team is founded on the principles of introducing kids to ski racing in an inclusive and supportive environment. The priority is ensuring kids have fun, rather than feeling intimidated by competition, whilst developing as skiers and individuals.
Coaching is provided by some of the UK's most qualified and experienced ski coaches and the program has gained huge popularity in the last few years.
The beauty of ski racing is that you can do it at any level. Once you feel you can ski the mountain, there is so much to be gained from getting into the gates.
You do not have to be an expert and one of our key strengths as a team is that we provide a perfect introduction to racing for kids who have not done it before. The environment is inclusive and light hearted which gives kids confidence to thrive in what can otherwise be perceived as 'pressure' situations.
Whilst it is not always universally embraced, it is widely recognised that racing makes you a better skier. If you are good ski racer, you are a good skier. The techniques learned at this level translate across the whole skiing spectrum and if you really want to progress then this is a great fun way to do it.
The kids who are part of MM Race Team have a fantastic time, become much better skiers, make great friends and learn how to cope with the tough environments that competitive sport comes with.
A typical race week runs over 5 mornings from 9.00am to 12.45pm.
